Travel to Las Vegas Guide
I have always heard of people going to Vegas quite frequently and for many years I wondered what the big attraction was besides the casinos. It seemed like everyone wanted to travel to Las Vegas. I was amazed by the temperature, sights and attractions when I first arrived and have been hooked ever since. I decided to make this Las Vegas guide to give you a good idea of what “Sin City” is all about. Vegas is a great place to get away for a few days and just have fun. It is for the wild and crazy, people who like to gamble, people who like bright lights, and for those who just like to sight see or enjoy a good show. Vegas has something for everyone.

There are plenty of attractions for the whole family, bring them to the midway at Circus Circus hotel, or check out the Lions in the glass enclosure at MGM Grand. The Flamingo hotel has real flamingos and other types of interesting birds in their beautiful outdoor sanctuary.
If you plan to do some shopping, you will find some great bargains at the Las Vegas Premium Outlet and you can admire the beautiful sculptures at Caesars Palace Forum Shops.
LAS VEGAS GUIDE -SHOPPING EXCURSIONS
If you want to clog your arteries a bit, try a deep fried chocolate bar at Mermaids Casino on Freemont Street or try a yummy burger at the Burger Bar located in Mandalay Bay Hotel. The Burger bar has burgers that go up to the $60 range. I didn’t want to blow my budget on a burger with truffles on it, but it would have to be really good for that price.
If you have a few days in town? Take a drive out to the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam and check out the spectacular views.

Some tips that will help you get around Las Vegas alot easier
- Bring Light Clothing-Vegas is a desert and is very warm. All you need is a light sweater or jacket for the evenings.
- Bring sunglasses and a hat for sun protection
- Definitely bring a swimming suit. Vegas has some great pools.
- Be prepared to walk-You will need comfortable walking shoes when you are touring around Vegas. Everywhere you want to go will require you at some point to do a little hike. Walking to the monorail or from hotel to hotel can be quite the adventure so do yourself a favor and save your feet the agony.
- Watch your money carefully. Thieves are on the prowl knowing you have gambling money in your wallet or purse. Do not get distracted. Carry a Money Pouch
- Utilize free shuttles-There are a few trams that will take you from one hotel to the other. One goes from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur, Mirage to Treasure Island and Bellagio to Monte Carlo.
Most of your adventures can be experienced right on the Las Vegas strip but make sure you take a moment to go downtown and enjoy the Freemont Street Experience and see what the old style Las Vegas is all about.
